Syrup can become a sticky mess in a quick hurry, the good news is that there are simple ways to clean it up using products you likely already have around the house. There are a few different ways to clean syrup from your carpet, couch, or clothing items. The first step is always to remove the excess syrup sitting on top of the carpet with a spoon or credit card. Then, you can make a cleaning solution with dish soap and water, among other household cleaners, and/or mix an ammonia solution with ammonia and water to spray on the stain to help break it down. We will cover these cleaning solutions and a few others step-by-step in this article. As a busy mom of three little kids, I have had my fair share of syrup spills!
