Thanksgiving Day Custom Word Search and Would You Rather (Canva Template)

Thanksgiving will be here before we know it! When I was younger my family used to have a word search for all the kids to work on while our parents were busy in the kitchen. The word search had the names of all the members of our family, and I always thought that was so fun to find my name, and the names of my cousins! I decided to bring the tradition back this year and turn it into a canva template so you can do it too!

STEP 1:

Create your word search! I like to use THIS online puzzle maker, it is free and super easy to use. Adjust the settings to be 15 letters across and 15 letters down. I like to set it to share letters occasionally, and all uppercase letters. Type in all the names you want included on your puzzle and then hit “create puzzle”. Then you can either print in out or take a screenshot of your puzzle, as well as one of the answers! The screenshots of my puzzle are below for reference.

STEP 2:

Open the canva template (get that below). Then edit the letters on the crossword to match the puzzle that you just created. The text boxes go vertically, so you can take it one line at a time. Then edit the names at the bottom of your puzzle as a reference for the names to be found. Once you’re done you can save, download the PDF file, and print!

EXTRAS:

The second page in the template is a fun “Would You Rather” game. It is editable as well so you can change some of them to better suit your family and friends!
