Printable Christmas Activities for Kids

December is such a busy month, and having simple activities to do with your kids is a great way to slow down and enjoy the holiday season together! We have used this Christmas Kit from Colorly Love the past few years, and it has been well loved by the entire family. There are so many darling activities in the kit you can use for a Christmas party, in your kids class parties, or just to enjoy with your whole family. It gets tricky keeping kids entertained during Christmas break, I get it! These themed activities could be used as new Christmas traditions, the best part, they are all digital downloads, so you can print as many copies as you need, and the entire kit is only $7. You can find the kit HERE. We have also used a few of Colorly Love's big 24x36 engineer print coloring pages, they are so much fun. You can find the big pages HERE and HERE.

Christmas Coloring Pages

The kit comes with a darling Christmas Elements Colouring Page, it is a great activity to work on those fine motor skills. The kit also includes a Christmas Lights Scavenger Hunt complete with everything you might find on your drive around town looking at Christmas lights. Find a candy cane, green lights, a nativity, and so much more, it turns a drive to look at Christmas lights into a fun Christmas game. There is also a Letter to Santa Template (which is basically a required Christmas activity!) the prompts make it super easy for little kids to get their letter to Santa in the mail!

Christmas Bingo Cards

Christmas Bingo is an excellent way to gather your family members together for a fun game! Bingo is always a hit, no matter if you have older children, or younger children, it is definitely a great game the whole family can play together. I laminated a set a few years ago, and we have made good use of it for class parties and at home. We always have a good time playing as a family, and I find my kids wanting to play after school, and on lazy Sunday afternoons in December. (I love my laminator, like, I really love it. I'll link it! It comes highly recommended, and is a great price.)

Christmas Crafts

create your own christmas tree

There are a few fun activities that come in the printable pack, and I wanted to highlight them for you, there are so many fun ideas. First up, is a Create Your Own Christmas Tree activity. There are a few different colors of trees and stems to cut out, and a winter scene background to glue your tree creations to! This activity is geared more toward older kids, but with a little help I think it would be great for kids of all ages. The kids can make their own little winter wonderland.

Paper ornaments! My kids loved this activity last year. There are ornaments that come in both black and white, and color, that you can color or decorate, and then punch the holes inside the ornament and create fun designs with string to create your own ornaments! It was an easy way for my kids to create their own ornaments without a big mess.

Santa's beard! I think curling the beard of Santa Claus was the favorite of all the fun Christmas printables! You can either print the page that is already colored in, or print the black and white copy, and color it yourself. Then you cut along the lines up the beard and use a pencil to make Santa Claus' beard curl. It is a fun way to get ready for the big day!

DIY Nativity Scene

I love to display a Nativity Scene in my home during Christmas, and this one is so simple + sweet, it is the perfect way to bring Christ into Christmas. The nativity in the kit has a stable, Baby Jesus, Mary, and Joseph, it is simple and so great for younger kids.

St. Lucia's Day Crown

St. Lucia's Day is a Swedish holiday celebrated on December 13th. It is said that the patron of light, Lucy, wore a crown of candles as she delivered food to Christians in Rome who were hiding in caves. A Candle Crown is included in the kit, I loved helping my kids make a crown last year as we talked about the history behind St. Lucia's day. It was fun learning new things with my kids, as this story was new to me as well.

Giant Christmas Coloring Pages

There are two different giant Christmas big pages. The first one is a page full of Christmas elements. Snow globes, Christmas trees, bells, ornaments, mistletoe, all the things we love at Christmas time. Linked HERE. It is a simple Christmas coloring page geared more toward young children. It is full of festive images to color, and honestly, I find my husband enjoying it just as much as the kids do! The last page can be used as a table runner to color, I think this would be a fun activity after all the presents have been opened on Christmas Day. (I would recommend printing two and putting them together!)

There is another big page listing that is just as cute. It says "The Weary World Rejoices" in the middle, and I think it is so cute! Linked HERE.

The best part of the engineer prints is that they are super CHEAP. My local printer charges me $2.50 per print. For a little extra Christmas fun we like to doorbell ditch big pages around to our friends and family. We always have a great time delivering the pages, and the friends and family we have gifted them to always love them!

We hope you enjoyed this round up of some of our favorite printable Christmas games, coloring pages, and activities. We love all the holiday festivities and look for any excuse to celebrate! Merry Christmas!
