Simple Thanksgiving Coloring Pages & Activities

Thanksgiving is such a great holiday, and coloring pages are a fun way to keep kids of all ages entertained while the adults spend an excessive amount of time in the kitchen! We have used this Thanksgiving Kit from Colorly Love the past few years, and it has been a huge hit with the younger kids, the older kids, and even the adults! There are so many darling activities to use for a festive Thanksgiving feast, or to use in your kids class parties, the best part, they are all printable pages that come in one digital download, so you can print as many copies as you need, and the entire kit is only $7! You can find the kit HERE. We have also used a few of their big 24x36 engineer prints as table decor and an activity, they are all so much fun! Big pages found HERE and HERE.

Thanksgiving Coloring Pages

The kit comes with a few printable activity sheets, my personal favorite is the 11x17 Coloring Page Placemats you can set on the dinner table as placemats that double as coloring pages. It is such a fun activity for the kids to work on throughout the day, and then to use as their place setting for the Thanksgiving meal! There is also a Mandala Coloring Page with simple outlines of fall leaves, pumpkins, turkeys, gourds, scarecrows, pie, and more, it is a great activity to work on those fine motor skills. The kit also includes a Thanksgiving Scavenger Hunt, complete with everything you might find at your Thanksgiving Day feast, once an item has been found, the kids can check it off and move on to the next item. It is a great way for kids to learn about different foods and elements of Thanksgiving that they potentially haven't heard of before. There are a few fall coloring pages that can be used for more than just Thanksgiving day, they are great for the entire month of November.

Thanksgiving Bingo Cards

Thanksgiving Bingo is an excellent way to gather everyone together for a fun game! I laminated a set a few years ago, and we have gotten great use of it for class parties and at home. We always have a good time playing as a family, and I find my kids wanting to play after school, and on Sunday afternoons in November. (I love my laminator, like, I really love it. I'll link it! It comes highly recommended, and is a great price.)

Giant Turkey 24x36 Engineer Print

A tradition we started years ago was creating a new Gratitude Turkey each year. Basically we start by printing a cute turkey coloring page. The 24x36 is great for a crowd. The kit from Colorly Love comes with feathers so you can choose to color your own, or print the ones already colored. We like to color our own, everyone colors their feathers in their favorite colors, and it makes for a festive and colorful turkey. On each feather you write something(s) you are grateful for and add the feather to your turkey. It is a perfect way to visualize how much we really have to be thankful for once all the feathers have been added to the turkey, it fills up the page!

Turkey Door Decor

Transform your door into a turkey! The turkey door pieces come colored in for you, in the cutest fall colors, or you can print them in black and white, which is a great idea if you are looking for an activity to keep little hands busy throughout the day! There are feathers, eyes, a nose, and gobbler, as well as seven feathers to place around the door. There is nothing cuter than a big turkey door to greet your guests on turkey day. (I think this would be perfect for a teacher. Nothing like a cute Thanksgiving turkey to greet your students during November!)

Turkey Hats

The most adorable Turkey Hats come in the kit from Colorly Love, they are the perfect activity for a group, or a fun family activity to do with your family during the fall season. We made them in my daughter's class party one year, and had multiple requests to make them again the following year, they are darling! The feathers come in different colors, but there is also an option to print it in black and white so the kids can color it on their own. Gobble gobble!

Turkey Bookmarks

This might just be my favorite Thanksgiving coloring page. The Turkey Bookmarks are too cute! Last year, my daughter's teacher loved when I would send activities to school for the kids, so I would either send giant coloring pages, or activities that work in a school setting. These turkey bookmarks fit the bill. Send a quick email to your kids' teacher, and see if they would want you to send the activity to school, you would be surprised at how grateful they are for the help and the fun activity supplied for them. It has been a fun way for us to show our teachers how thankful we are for them, by making their day a tiny bit easier!

Giant Thanksgiving Coloring Pages

The first digital download kit includes three different big pages, and it is only $5 for the digital download. Linked HERE. The first page in the kit is a simple Thanksgiving coloring page geared more toward young kids. It is full of festive images to color, and honestly, I find my husband enjoying it just as much as the kids do! The second one says "WE ARE THANKFUL" in the middle, and the rest of the page is blank. There is plenty of space to write in all the things you are thankful for this year. The last page can be used as a table runner to color! (I would recommend printing two and putting them together!) We did this last year, and it was so cute in place of normal table decor. The adults got involved and everyone loved sitting around the dinner table coloring together.

There is another big page listing that is just as cute. It has a big pumpkin pie in the middle, and I think it is so cute! Linked HERE.

The best part of the engineer prints is that they are super CHEAP. My local printer charges me $2.50 per print. For a little extra Thanksgiving fun we like to doorbell ditch big pages around to our friends and family. We always have a great time delivering the pages, and the friends and family we have gifted them to are always so grateful!

Super Simple Thanksgiving Treat

What's a party without treats? We've covered the coloring pages + crafts, so I thought I would share a fun idea for a simple turkey treat! Reese's are a fan favorite, so these little turkeys are always a crowd pleaser!

Ingredients

  • Regular sized Reese’s Cups

  • Snack size Reese’s Cups

  • Reese’s Pieces

  • Black decorator’s icing

  • Candy eyes

Instructions

  1. Unwrap a regular sized Reese’s Cup, and lay it facing up on a flat surface.

  2. Apply a dab of black decorator’s icing to the bottom of a snack-sized Reese’s Peanut Butter Cup.

  3. Press the smaller Reese’s Cup with the icing on the bottom of it onto the top of the regular sized Reese’s cup, near the bottom. The smaller candy will be the head of the turkey, and the larger will be its body.

  4. Place some black icing on the back of two candy eyes, and apply them to the top of the smaller Reese’s cup.

  5. Using a knife, carefully cut an orange Reese’s Pieces in half. Apply some black icing to one half of the Reese’s Pieces, and press it onto the front of the small peanut butter cup, under the candy eyes.

  6. Place some black icing onto the back of individual Reese’s Pieces, and apply them alternating colors along the outer edge of the larger Reese’s Peanut Butter Cup, these will be the feathers of your turkey.

  7. Allow the candy turkeys to set in the freezer for 5-10 minutes before serving.
